About the Client

Dani began as a family business in 1946, dedicated to the representation of spices and canned goods. It evolved into a producer, manufacturer, and distributor, establishing itself as one of the leading companies in the food sector in Spain and internationally. Today, it has over 800 employees, four facilities (Barcelona, Galicia, Chile, and the United Kingdom), and a presence in more than 50 countries.

Challenges

For Dani’s operations in Chile, connectivity to its Data Center in Catalonia is critical. The distance of about 12,000 km between the two locations posed major connectivity challenges, affecting business performance and team productivity. The previous system, based on a point-to-point VPN over the Internet, had several limitations:

  • Application instability
  • Slow file transfers
  • Frequent VoIP communication failures
  • Database queries with high response times

Cloud365 Approach and Solution

To overcome these challenges, Cloud365 implemented an SD-WAN solution from its partner Aryaka, which includes:

  • Global private network, with dedicated circuits, low latency, and high quality, with more than 40 POPs on all continents, including Madrid and Santiago, Chile
  • Data compression, reducing traffic and increasing performance
  • CIFS Proxy, ensuring exceptional performance when accessing files on Microsoft File Server
  • TCP optimization, accelerating connection establishment and data transfer
  • Fast and simple implementation, operational in just two days, using only standard Internet connections at the sites, with no need for a dedicated circuit
  • Managed service, with a Client portal that offers full visibility of the network and application traffic

Results

After implementation, the improvement was immediate and measurable:
